Exsel Group was founded eight years ago, we now employ more than 40 people in Glasgow and Aberdeen, with an Edinburgh office scheduled to open later this year.
As well as offering the highest levels of customer service and support to our customers we are also focused on making Exsel a great place to work for our staff and giving back to the local community.
We work hard to ensure that we employ the best people in their field and we treat our staff well to ensure they are happy in their job.
We are also very committed to giving something back to the community working closely with charities, including A&M Scotland and Enable Scotland, to help them with their valuable work.

Our Managing Director
Having spent 15 years in the UK IT & Telecom sector Tom is a technology-focused business leader whose commitment is to achieve his vision of establishing Exsel Group as a recognised, successful global brand.
In terms of achievements during his time at Exsel Group, Tom was instrumental in the business winning ‘Reseller of the Year’ for Communications Dealer, with Exsel also having been nominated for Communications Dealer and Communications National awards. Exsel Group has also come runner-up at Scottish Business Awards, and are anticipated to receive accolades at the UK Business Awards.
Our Print Management Services Director
A dedicated member of the Exsel Group board, Craig’s focus is on how to grow the business by any means possible. Craig currently looks after the print management side of the business, after acting as Director of Sales Director for the first year in Exsel Group’s history.
This role included looking after the mobile and communications side of the business, before taking ownership of the main focus; customer care. With the help of Craig’s expertise, the business has grown from an initial 70K turnover to a turnover of just under £3 million.
Our IT Director
Holding many years’ experience in the Scottish SME marketplace and with a background originally in UK Governmental IT and Communications Security. Mike started Exsel IT & Communications in 2008 as a traditional IT and Telecoms company.
Mike is now the Chief Technical Officer at Exsel, specialising in unified IT and Telecoms services, with specialist product focus on B2B mobile communications, hosted IP telephony, and cloud computing. He also has expertise in a substantial part of the companies IT offering - Microsoft’s Office 365.
Mike is passionate about developing the next generation of IT professionals within the team at Exsel group.
Our Sales Director
Sean recently joined Exsel Group following a 15 year career with IT Services company Claranet which he helped grow to a £164M turnover, 1000 plus employee business.
The experience that Sean has gained on how this was achieved and the understanding of the pitfalls along the way, makes him stand out from a lot of others who have not had similar experiences with these types of companies and in turn make him a perfect fit for Exsel Group, and an excellent asset to the company in terms of continued growth and financial success.
Our Operations Director
Day to day at Exsel Group, Frank is in charge of operations including engineering and administration, customer service in addition to handling service providers, network suppliers and providers.
Frank is motivated by the increasing potential Exsel Group continues to show – the company is run by young, enthusiastic people and Frank is keen to use his industry experience to push the Exsel name out there.
Our Finance Director
Craig Rattray is a qualified Scottish Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years experience of working with Owner Managed Businesses. Craig has operated in corporate finance, private equity, and industrial financial management roles and has vast experience of many different industries.
Our Non Executive Director
Russell Dalgleish joined the board in 2015 to provide strategic advice and to assist in accelerating growth. Though a Scot, Russell is based from London and maintains a broad range of business interests through his Exolta Capital Partners advisory firm.
He holds a Technology degree and has enjoyed a successful career building businesses in Europe, US and Asia. He sits on the board of several technology companies, is an active investor and chairs the Social Enterprise WeAreTheFuture.

Exsel Group is dedicated to giving back something to the community by supporting local charities and sponsoring individuals and teams.
A&M Scotland is a community charity that works with young people in areas of high social deprivation to improve their self-esteem and confidence by engaging them in structured fun activities including football and dance. The charity works across 30 communities in Glasgow working with 1500 young people a week. The charity was set up to reduce gang-related violence and anti-social behaviour and has been highly successful with the areas involved seeing a significant reduction in crime.
Enable Scotland is a charity founded to ensure that people with learning difficulties have the same choices and opportunities in life as everyone else.
They campaign against discrimination and equality and offer a wide range of services to help people live the way of life they want. Exsel has helped out by sponsoring events, donating prizes and fundraising.
Celtic Women’s Football Sponsorship
Exsel Group are delighted to sponsor the Celtic Football Club Ladies team. The sponsorship sees the Exsel Group as the proud shirt sponsor of the Celtics Ladies.

Kimberley Renicks Sponsorship
Exsel Group sponsors judo star, Kimberley Renicks on her journey to the Rio Olympics. The sponsorship has made a big difference allowing them to concentrate on their training.

Exsel Group is the official mobile partner of the Scottish Football Association.
