We are delighted to announce that Exsel Group have recently become ISO 27001:2013 certified. ISO’s are international standards published by The International Standardisation Organisation. The standard achieved by Exsel Group describes how information in a company should be managed safely and securely.
The ISO 27001:2013 is the second and latest version of the standard, which was first created in 2005. This standard protects the confidentiality, integrity and safety of information within a company. To become certified, we completed a risk assessment on the potential pitfalls regarding our information and how it could become lost. Once the different problem areas were found, safeguards and procedures were implemented on both physical and digital documentation, to ensure all information is protected.
Exsel Group’s Managing Director, Tom McDonald said: “It’s great that we have finally become accredited in the ISO 27001:2013, we have always been mindful of the way which we use and process data, so to finally go out and get the accreditation is great and demonstrates our commitment to securing and safely storing the information that we hold.”
By becoming certified in ISO 27001:2013, Exsel Group’s customers can be sure that their data is being held safely and responsibly by the company.
